Break one document into smaller ones — by page range, by size, or one file per page — so you can send only the part that matters.
Splitting by page range is the precise option: you know that pages 1-4 are the invoice and 5-9 the annex, and you want two files. Splitting one file per page is for bulk work — turning a 60-page scan into 60 images to sign separately, for instance. Splitting by size is the one people forget: when a portal refuses a file above 5 MB, dividing the document into chunks under the limit gets it through when compression is not enough.
Ranges refer to the physical pages of the file, starting at 1, not to the numbers printed in the footer. A document whose visible numbering starts at 7 because the cover pages are unnumbered will still have page 1 at the cover.
When a split produces several files they are delivered as a single ZIP archive, so download once and unpack it locally rather than running the tool repeatedly.
No. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text, images and embedded fonts are untouched.
Unlock it first: the tool cannot read an encrypted document until the password is removed.
Fields that live on the pages you keep stay with those pages; fields on removed pages disappear with them.
